For Families
The Parents’ Room is located inside the members’ entrance at Gate 2 on Level 1 behind bay M42, adjacent to Tower 6.
The room has baby change tables, cubicles with lounge chairs for breastfeeding, nappy disposal units, TV, power point, sink, toilets and a microwave.
If your child is unable to use the public toilets on their own, but is too old to use the toilets of the opposite sex with you, the Parents’ Room is an ideal alternative.
To minimise misuse, the Parents’ Room in the MCC Members’ Reserve is kept locked on event day. If you need to use this room, please ask a nearby member of staff for assistance.
Each MCG Parents’ Room is a recognised Baby Care Room with the Australian Breastfeeding Association.
In addition to the Parents’ Rooms, many bathrooms also contain baby change tables. They are available in the following bathrooms:

Children under the age of 2 are admitted free-of-charge into the MCC Members’ Reserve as long as they do not occupy a seat. If you wish for your child to occupy a separate seat, you can purchase a junior reserved seat ticket for them for the match.
Strollers that can be folded and stored under your seat are welcome at the MCG.
Prams, or larger strollers that cannot fit under your seat must be cloaked for the duration of your visit to the MCG. Where possible, we recommend leaving prams and larger strollers at home. For safety and emergency reasons, prams and strollers cannot be left unattended on the concourse or in accessible seating areas.
Cloaking is available at the Customer Service Office at M57 or the Stadium Management Centre on Level B1, next to the Bill Lawry Indoor Cricket Centre.
The MCG has Kids Connection wristbands available free of charge. Wristbands are available at the public enquiry counter at the Stadium Management Centre, (Level B1, Ponsford Stand) and the MCC Membership Services Office.
Parents can write either their mobile number or seat location on the back of the wristband. If their child gets lost we can call or locate a parent/guardian quickly.
As ground manager of the MCG, safety is our number one priority.
We provide an inclusive and welcoming environment where children and young people can enjoy live events and other activities such as an MCG Tour or a visit to the Australian Sports Museum.
Child safety policies and procedures help ensure the MCG is a safe environment for all children and young people on event and non-event days. These policies and procedures also apply to the external venues managed by the MCC.

Accessibility Information
Further information about accessibility and the MCG can be found at MCG Accessibility and Inclusion.
On days when the MCG hosts events, parking is available in Yarra Park for disability permit holders (subject to capacity). Vehicles with accessible parking permits can access parking at any of the entrances to Yarra Park. For MCC members, enter via Wellington Parade South (Gate 3).
The MCG homepage and event detail pages feature updates on the availability of parking in Yarra Park. Please note that car parking in Yarra Park may not be available for all events at the MCG.
There is accessible seating, including wheelchair spaces, available on all levels of the Members’ Reserve. Additionally, all levels have male, female and accessible bathrooms and can be reached by lifts 5, 6 and 7.
For most events, there is both reserved and general admission accessible seating available in the Members’ Reserve. However to avoid disappointment, we encourage you to pre-book your ticket.
Ways to pre-book accessible tickets via Ticketek:
- Online, and using the accessibility filter to select and buy your preferred seat in the on-sale via the Ticketek website
- Online Ticketek booking form
- Phone the Ticketek Accessibility hotline: 1300 665 915.
The MCC operates a dedicated accessibility entry on event days from Gate 2B (to the left side of the main gate). This entry can be used by anyone with accessibility needs, including hidden disabilities. All patrons entering from this gate must still complete the security screening process.
Note: Persons with accessibility needs who plan to use this entry to queue for in-demand events (e.g. AFL Grand Final) must pre-register with the MCC. To pre-register, contact Membership Services.
Members with accessibility needs who hold a valid Victorian Companion Card are able to redeem a complimentary event ticket for their companion or carer to join them in the Reserve.
This complimentary ticket must be redeemed prior to entering the stadium via Ticketek if purchasing a reserved seat, or at the Gate 2B ticket box for general admission seating.
The holder of the companion card must be present when a companion ticket is used and is required to be able to show proof of their valid companion card to staff upon entering the MCG.
The MCG Mobility Shuttle Service, the ‘G-Train’, operates during public events held at the MCG.
The shuttle service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges.
All certified guide, hearing, assistance and trainee support dogs (including puppies) are welcome at the MCG. Please ensure your dog is easily identifiable as an assistance dog and that you can present relevant certification information upon request.
The nearest dog spending (relief) area is on the grass in Yarra Park. We appreciate your help in keeping Yarra Park clean, so please pick up after your dog.
The MCG has many hearing loops fitted throughout the stadium.
A digital system uses the MCG free wifi to relay PA announcements into the users’ headphones. An analog system also conveys messages using simple radio frequency. Anyone is able to tune into this system.
