Types of Dining Available
With numerous bars, dining rooms and cafes available in the Members’ Reserve there is something for everyone. Many facilities are available on an unreserved basis.
The Members’ Dining Room (MDR) and Jim Stynes Grill (JSG) are open for all matches, and bookings must be made in advance.
The Committee Room by Grossi (CRbG) will be available for selected weekend matches.
MCC members will also be treated to an exclusive dining facility focused on a Pan-Asian menu in Missymu by Shirley, located on Level 3 of the Ponsford Stand, and Mediterranean menu at 1956 in the Olympic Stand.

One of the lesser-known benefits of being an MCC member is the opportunity to avail yourself and your guests of the function and dining facilities on offer at the MCG on non-match days.
Members can book fabulous locations such as the Members' Dining Room, Long Room or Bullring Bar for private functions with a touch of class. Please note that use of the Long Room for private functions requires approval from the MCC Committee.
MCC members can be treated to an enhanced culinary experience in the Members' Reserve as Guy Grossi brings his famed food and service to the MCC Committee Room at the MCG. Located on Level 2 of the Members' Reserve, adjacent to the Long Room, the Committee Room restaurant is open for lunch service from Tuesday to Friday weekly on non-match days for bookings where patrons can enjoy hospitality from one of Melbourne's most highly regarded chefs. Enjoy an exclusive dining experience alongside sports and events at the MCG. The Members’ Reserve has a ballot system for bookings – register for your desired event.
General Dining Conditions
- Members can only register for one dining facility for each match.
- The Club will advise the number of guests permitted per member prior to bookings opening for each match day.
- A $20 "no show" fee applies for members and/or guests who do not attend.
- Cancellations must be made before 5:00pm on the second last business day prior to the match by phoning (03) 9657 8888.
- The maximum number of people in any one booking is 20.
- Children may enter the dining rooms so long as they are accompanied and adequately supervised by an adult and neatly dressed.
- Walk-up dining will only be available if either room has not been fully booked in advance.
- A main meal must be purchased when dining in a-la-carte restaurants.
- Members requesting mobility seating please note any special requirements when registering to ensure we can accommodate to any specific needs.
