Access to the Members’ Reserve
Provisional members may have limited or no access to parts of the Members’ Reserve on event days when the attendance of Full and Restricted members and their guests is forecast to be high, such as during the AFL Finals Series and on Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test.
Events will be placed in one of three categories according to the expected demand from members and their guests to attend the Reserve, which are communicated at the beginning of each season. These categories determine the level of access that Provisional members will have to the Reserve, including access to reserved seats, dining room tables, visitor tickets and Long Room passes for guests.
Similar to the Restricted membership category, Provisional members are entitled to attend meetings of the Club but are unable to vote, nominate committee or office-bearer candidates, nominate new members or receive privileges at interstate and overseas reciprocal clubs.

AFL, Cricket and Events
- Free admission to the Members’ Reserve for a majority of events held at the MCG under conditions advised prior to each event.
- The right to introduce guests on specific match days by purchasing a visitors ticket and on non-event weekdays.
- Possibility of access to special events like soccer, rugby union and rugby league, generally at a subsidised admission fee.
Dining, Functions and Non-Match Day Access
- Access to various Members’ Reserve dining and bar facilities on specific event days.

Sporting Sections and Special Interest Groups
- The opportunity to join the Club’s sporting sections such as baseball, bowls, croquet, golf, hockey, lacrosse, netball, real tennis, squash, target shooting and tennis.
- The opportunity to join any of the Club’s special interest groups such as the Long Room Wine and Food Society, Military Veterans’ Group, Bridge Club, Young Members Club, Women of MCC group and the XXIX Club, which plays social cricket matches locally, interstate and overseas.
